There was a time when small trucks were embedded in all facets of life. Small companies needed small vehicles for parts runners, pool companies, and even first time vehicle buyers looking for cheap truck transportation.
The new generation of small truck from Ford is filling a gap that has existed since the demise of the mini trucks, like the Ford Ranger. As the mini trucks grew in size, they finally outgrew the segment and became extinct, like the dinosaur.
The Ford Maverick is now the new small truck, not as small as the old Ranger, but smaller than the 'new Ranger'.
