The Texas Auto Writers Association has been around for over 30-years supporting automotive jounalism and journalists. Starting with a single vehicle event, over the years, the association developed two events - in the spring, it is the Auto Roundup inviting OEMs to bring some of their newest for a two day evaluation. In the fall, it is the Texas Truck Rodeo where pickup trucks are evaluated in a back-to-back manner. From this comes the Truck of Texas.
