In Wheel Time is all about all things automtoive, which means we get to attend some great events during the year ... and one that we have come to really look forward to is the Tailpipes & Tacos cruize-in on the third Saturday of the month. Not a car show, but a cruized-in so the flow of vehicles in the Lupe Tortilla - Grand Parkway / Katy parking lot seems to be constantly changing.
One of the reasons this is such a great event, the host, @Stan HoltStan Holt, is a car guy. He has a few cars, and he is a pretty good at drag racing, competing and winning in NHRA National Sportsman catagories.
The event is also a fund raiser for 'Shirley's Kids', a foundation established by the Queen of Drag Racing, Ms. Shirley Muldowney. All the proceeds from the sale of some great breakfast tacos, coffee, and other assorted breakfast beverages go to support that charity. In fact, last year Shirley attended one of the monthly events, and people where standing in long lines to meet her.
As with a lot of things 2020, schedules had to be changed, and after almost 8-months, we are really glad to see Tailpipes & Tacos back.
