On this episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk, we continue our look into the growing trend of buying vehicles online. The new vehicle OEMs have expanded your consumer market by reaching out via the internet, showind inventory and inviting people to the dealership.
Then there is the smaller group of dealers that are actually selling online, which has been expedited due to the 2020 pandemic.
Then along comes the pre-owned online dealers that do have a brick and mortor store, but trying to do the entire process online. For many car collectors, this has been done before in the form of auctions, however, the general consumer segment is getting a lot of attendion.
As part of our exploration of this trend, we talk with Gary Emmons, part of the Emmons Autoplex. This is a pre-owned store that replicates a new car dealer - shop, body shop, sales is all there. We are asking how it is going in general, touch a bit on their drag racing, but we really want to talk about online buying. Join us to hear the conversation.
