For several years now, we have talked about the shortage of skilled workers in the automotive industry at the dealership level. Yep, there is a shortage of certified mechanics at the dealerships, with many willing to pay signing bonuses. This is where the local community college, one like Houston Community College can really step to their name.
HCC has an automotive department that covers several areas of dealership type work, with different levels of a 'degree path', and a great record at finding jobs for graduates. David Vogul with HCC has more on this episode of In Wheel Time Car Talk.
