Like a lot of big cities, Houston, Texas, has a long history of developing the 'arts' for the citizens. One of the more unusal aspects is the annual Art Car Parade. This event brings together a hodge-podge of work that a variety of artists have applied to four-wheels. All rolling down the street of Houston during that annual parade.
With 2020 bringing in COVID, a lot of activities changed, particularly in the art world. Up steps Alto Ride Share with their contribution. They commissoned artist Shelbi Nicole to create a design that not only is funtional, but makes a lightheated statement that can bring a ray of sunshine even on a rainy day. We talk with CEO Will Coleman about the company and the communitee service committment that led to the newest art car in Houston.
