This week, we are very to be outside and broadcasting from Tailpipes & Tacos, the Saturday morning cruise in on the third Saturday of the month, weather permitting.
Joining us for this podcast, we have Tom Hoerner, who is later joined by his dad as we talk about is stunning 1930 Model A truck that Henry Ford could never have imagined! Chopped, channeled, new frame, and it goes on and on.
The Tailpipe & Taco Cruisein is held at Lupe' Tortillas restaurant in Katy, Texas, 8a-11amCT. There is always a great mix of vehicles ranging from classics, to muscle cars, sports cars, imports, pickup trucks, hot rods, and even some sling shots show up when the sun is shining.
In addition to being a great cruize in event, this is also a fund raiser supporting Shirley's Kids - a foundation established by the Queen of Drag Racing, Ms. Shirley Muldowney. The restaurant opens early with breakfast tacos, coffee, and a wide variety of beverages with all the processed going to Shirley's Kids. Shirley actually attended one of the 2019 events, and when she wasn't talking on the air with In Wheel Time, she was signing autographs all morning. We do hope that she gets to come this way again.
