Active Collison Avoidance - what is it? The new Sorento is in the New Car Showroom.

Everyone is concerned with safety and each year, the auto manufactures improve a lot of the systems that help drivers avoid accidents.  Most are currently directed to helping the driver drive safer but there are also systems coming along that don't need manual intervention.  As a starter, look at the interactive lane assist or even the new cruise controls that slow a vehicle down to maintain spacing.  Some systems will even bring a vehicle to a stop. 

Of course the OEM can't do it alone, so there are companies like DERQ,  Jamie Sullivan joins us to explain what a company like DERQ is doing to further develop Active Collision Avoidance that can help prevent accidents at intersections where it any collision can be serious.
